Helen M. Pawlowski, 93, of 1800 Sherman Ave., Stevens Point, died on Sunday, October 12, 2014.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Mill Creek, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 16, 2014 with the Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
She was born February 19, 1921 in Owensville, Missouri, daughter of the late John and Mary (Schultz) Skornia. Helen moved to the Town of Carson, Mill Creek area with the family in 1922 and attended school there. She married Ray Pawlowski on June 30, 1945 at St Bartholomew Catholic Church, Mill Creek. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2000. Helen and Ray lived in Chicago, Illinois and Green Bay, Wisconsin, moving to Mill Creek in 1989.
She was a member of the St. Bartholomew Ladies Society. Helen will always be remembered for her riddles and poems.
Helen is survived by two sons, Jim (Cecelia) Pawlowski of Stevens Point and Bob Pawlowski of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandsons, John (Amber), Joseph (Marie), Daniel (Annalee) and Michael (Natalie), three great granddaughters and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.”
