Officials from the Stevens Point School District have confirmed the second bomb threat in as many weeks was discovered on Tuesday afternoon at PJ Jacobs Junior High.
According to Police Chief Kevin Ruder, the threat was written on a piece of toilet paper in the girl’s bathroom. A similar threat was made about a week ago with a note left in the boy’s bathroom at the school.
Ruder said he doesn’t believe the threats were serious, but police did clear search the building and would again check students’ bags prior to entering the building.
Parents were notified of the threat by email on Tuesday.
