Letter: Former Marshfield Fire Chief Supports Vruwink
To the Editor-
I have had the pleasure of working with Representative Amy Sue Vruwink on a number of public safety related issues over the past 11 years. I have repeatedly witnessed her passion for putting people before politics on a variety of important issues.
Representative Amy Sue Vruwink has clearly demonstrated her significant leadership ability in the Assembly as witnessed by her appointments to the Joint Finance Committee, Assembly Committee on Agriculture, and Assembly of Transportation and Veterans Committees. I have also been very impressed with her level of accessibility and involvement in communities throughout the district. It is this type of experience, dedication, and determination to do what is necessary to represent the people of the 70th Assembly District that sets Representative Amy Sue Vruwink apart from many current or prospective state representatives.
For those of us who have had the pleasure of working with Representative Amy Sue Vruwink, it is obvious that she has the skills and ability to continue to be an effective representative. Even more importantly, from my prospective, she has fully embraced the public servant role by consistently placing the people of the 70th Assembly District above all else. For these reasons and many others, I encourage residents of the 70th Assembly District to Re-elect Representative Amy Sue Vruwink on November 4th.
James B. Schmidt, Fire Chief (Retired), Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department
