Multi-Media Channels Acquires Stevens Point City-Times and Its Digital Assets

Multi-Media Channels is pleased to announce the acquisition of Stevens Point City-Times, a local social media and online and printed news publication serving in Stevens Point and the surrounding area.

Multi-Media Channels’ purchase of the Stevens Point City-Times represents the company’s third acquisition in the past several months. In July 2014, MMC acquired the assets of the Merrill Couriers- a newspaper and media outlet serving the City of Merrill, WI, and surrounding areas. MMC also acquired The Antigo Area Shopper, a weekly advertising publication in the City of Antigo, in September 2014.
MMC is a subsidiary of Brown County Publishing, a family owned and operated media corporation that traces its publishing roots back three generations. Based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the company publishes numerous weekly shoppers, weekly newspapers and speciality publications in and around Northeast and Northcentral Wisconsin, along with associated websites and digital assets. The weekly shoppers include the Waupaca Buyer’s Guide, Wausau Buyer’s Guide, Stevens Point Buyer’s Guide, Wisconsin Rapids Buyer’s Guide, Marshfield Buyer’s Guide, Rhinelander Hodag Buyer’s Guide, New London Buyer’s Guide, Clintonville Shoppers’ Guide; the weekly newspapers include the Merrill Foto News, Rhinelander Star Journal, Waupaca County Post, New London Press Star, Clintonville Tribune Gazette; and the specialty magazines include Silent Sports, Full Throttle, Packerland Pride, Auto Plus, Auto Gazette and Hoopla. Bullseye Distribution is the company’s delivery division.
