SPASH Grad Featured in “Straight From New York” at Wausau Conservatory

Ann Applegate, pianist and Kirk Bangstad, vocalist, will present a faculty artist series concert on Sunday, November 16th, at 4 PM, featuring Italian traditions, spirituals, Broadway and a few other “surprises.”
Special guest Kirk Bangstad was raised in Stevens Point, and is a professional operatic tenor based in New York City. His international career has brought him to stages as far away as Japan, Australia, Israel, and Austria, and his most recent performances include Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus with Opera Manhattan, the Stage Manager in Ned Rorem’s Our Town with the Raylynmor Opera Company in New Hampshire, and Pat Denning in 42nd Street at the Engeman Theatre in Long Island, NY. Prior to pursuing a degree in graduate vocal studies at Northwestern University, Bangstad earned a degree in Government at Harvard University.
Admission is free and donations are welcome. This free concert will be held in the Caroline S. Mark Concert Hall in the Wausau Conservatory of Music at 404 Seymour Street, Wausau.
