Jeanette Jane Elsen, 72 of Junction City,died November 7,  2014 at Aspirus  Wausau Hospital, surrounded by her family. 

Jeanette was born January 22, 1942 in Kellner, the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Devine) Slauson.  She graduated from Lincoln High School and worked at Nekoosa Paper Mill before retiring in 1978.  She was united in marriage to Jerome P. Elsen May 3, 1974.

Jeanette enjoyed playing cards, fishing, boating and spending time with family, friends and grandchildren.

Jeanette is survived by her husband Jerome of Junction City; four  children, Kim (Mike) Stommel of Hubertus, WI, Pete (Sandy) Elsen of Junction City, Mary Lou Elsen of Green Bay , Ginger Lynn (Tom) Worwa of Minneapolis, MN; three grandchildren, Melissa (Mark) Fields, Brandi Lou Simonis and Kristian (Tyler) Anthony; two great grandchild, Jaxon Swette and Jace Lind,  three sisters, June Swanson of Wisconsin Rapids,  Marcia Price of Milwaukee, Lenora Kiedrowski of Kellner and one brother Donald (Julie) Slauson of Rudolph.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Alvina Stashek, Doris Penny, Mildred Swonger and three brothers, Daniel, Robert and Burdette Slauson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Thursday, November 13th at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Junction City.  Fr. John Ofori-Domah will officiate and the burial will be at the St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 – 7 pm on Wednesday November 12th at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City and again on Thursday at the church from 10am until service time.
