Letter: Candidate Thanks Supporters, Looks to Future
To the Editor-
I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season. This is the time of year we reflect on our lives, our family and friends. We think about all of the good things in life and all that we have accomplished the past year.
Now that the official paperwork has been filed, and with those thoughts in mind, I’d like to take a moment to thank the nearly two dozen people who helped knock on doors and collect signatures. Our team was able to turn in the maximum amount and even had many extras. I know the weather wasn’t the greatest, as I gathered more than 200 myself. I appreciate all of the support, especially those who took the time to sign up in support of my candidacy. It was a pleasure talking to old friends and meeting new ones. It proves what we can do together.
I look forward to the coming months. I will still be out there, talking about things that are important to us, the goals we share, and my plan to get there. I hope you take some time to meet the other candidates, too. Each of us have something to offer and it’s up to you to decide who is best equipped to get the job done.
We need to build on what we already have, work more collaboratively with Plover, Whiting, Park Ridge and surrounding towns. With tighter budgets, but the need for the same levels of service, working together is the only logical way to stretch those dollars.
If you’d like more information about me, my experience, accomplishments or to offer support, you can visit our website at http://www.Wiza4Mayor.com. You can also follow us on Facebook or some of the other social media sites.
I hope this past year has given you everything you’d hoped for and that the coming year brings your family joy and prosperity. Take this time to think about all that you have. I hope those thoughts make you smile as much as they have for me.
