Ernest J. Zaborowski was born April 29, 1921, in Polonia, the only son of eight children born to Matthew and Rose Zaborowski. He passed away on Dec. 19, 2014.

He attended local schools but left early to help support his family after his father passed away.  He met his lifelong sweetheart after seeing a movie at the outdoor theater in 1939.  He married Lillian Bluma on Oct 25, 1941, and recently celebrated 73 years of marriage.

Ernest bravely served his country in WWII for 3 years.  Ernie and Lillian had two boys.  Jim, the eldest, was tragically taken from them in a car accident when he was 23 years old.  Their second, Tom, was a devoted son and always took care of his parents.

Ernie worked for Lullabye Furniture for 43 years.  When he wasn’t working, he made many wonderful pieces of furniture in his garage that everyone in his family still uses and cherishes.

He was a member of Stanislaus Church and most recently resided at Wellington Place in Stevens Point.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Lillian; 4 sisters; 4 grandchildren: Lisa (Mark) Pozorski – Minneapolis MN, Landon (Andrea) – Kanab, Utah, Preston (Agata) – Ottawa, Canada, Niya – Las Vegas, NV; and daughter-in-law, Mary – Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by his 9 great-grandchildren

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Jim; and daughter-in-law, Joan (Drapes); son, Tom; grandchildren, Nathan and Sonja, children of Tom and Mary; and 3 sisters.

A private service will be held. For online condolences, please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.
