December 26

Crash: Three drivers, a 45 year-old man and two women, ages 18 and 24, were involved in a crash near Highway 54 and County Trunk F at 6:44 PM. No major injuries were reported by the 18 year-old woman was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control and operating without insurance. 

Busted for Pot: A 20 year-old man in under suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a glass pipe containing THC during a traffic stop near Division and Franklin streets at 8:31 AM.

Crash: A 64 year-old man was cited for failure to yield right of way, resulting in bodily harm following a crash with a 23 year-old female drive near Hillcrest Dr. and Greenbriar Ave. at 12:10 PM.

Illegal Tint: A 19 year-old man received a warning for not having proof of insurance and for having illegal tint while driving near Nebel St. and Michigan Ct. at 1:12 AM.

Underage Party: Police were called to a home on the 2400 block of Stanley St. at 10:32 when a caller reported an fireworks being set off during an underage party.

December 27

That Stop Sign Isn’t a Suggestion: A 33 year-old man was warned for failure to stop at a stop sign while driving on the 5300 block of Old Highway 18 at 4:44 PM.

Assault: Police were called to a home on the 1100 block of Main St. after a caller reported a violent assault was taken place at 12:20 AM. No further information is currently available.

Unconscious Outside the Bar: A 26 year-old man was found unconscious outside of Brickhaus, 1343 Second St., at 12:20 AM. Police found drug paraphernalia on the man’s person, to include a small metal spoon. The man was medically treated and arrested for bail jumping.

A Slew of Drug Paraphernalia: Police arrested a 19 year-old man after a traffic stop near Torun & Jordan roads turned up two pipes, a scale, a pill bottle containing Buspirone and a Eclipse Gum container with one marijuana bud inside. The incident occurred at 11:23 PM.

December 28

Inattentive Driving: A 27 year-old woman was cited for inattentive driving and failure to wear a seatbelt following a one- vehicle crash near Highway 66 West and Ole River Road at 7:08 AM.

Mailbox Fatality: A 32 year-old man reported at 8:19 AM that someone damaged the mailbox at his Burbank Road home.

Suspicious Vehicle: A caller reported seeing a suspicious vehicle parked behind a hotel on the 5200 block of Harding Ave. at 11:34 PM. Deputies found an 18 year-old male driver and two other men, 18 and 19, in the car. No citations were issued.

Hit & Run: A 25 year-old woman was cited for suspicion of causing a hit and run accident on Stanley St. at 3:13 PM. She was also cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and driving without insurance.

Drunk & Disorderly: Police responded to complaints that two “highly intoxicated” people had been arguing in front of a 12 year-old boy on the 800 block of Bukolt Ave. at 6:32 PM.

Domestic Violence: A 47 year-old man was arrested after assaulting a 31 year-old woman at a residence on the 2100 block of Madison St. at 10:22 PM. The man was arrested on charges of battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and domestic abuse.
