UPDATE: NWS Says Blistering Cold to Stay Through Wednesday
City Times Staff
The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory from midnight on Monday through noon on Tuesday.
Very cold wind chills are expected overnight as northwest winds usher in an increasingly colder air mass into the north central and central Wisconsin through mid-week.
Wind chills of up to 25 below zero are expected, with more cold air on the way for Wednesday.
Another cold night is expected across Wisconsin as a cold air mass remains in place over the area. For this evening into Wednesday morning…west winds around 10 mph will combine with subzero temperatures to produce wind chill readings from 20 to 30 below in northern and north central Wisconsin. Wind chills this low can cause frost bite in as little time as 30 minutes.
After Wednesday morning…some moderation in temperatures is expected through the end of the week.
