Elizabeth was born June 30, 1928, in the Town of Guenther, the second oldest of fifteen children of the late Joseph and Anna (Gburek) Rucinski. On October 2, 1948, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Carl Pawelski, at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church in the Town of Hull, Stevens Point. After the fly tying industry ceased in Stevens Point, Elizabeth worked for the Stevens Point Journal and Delmonte, retiring in 1990. When she wasn’t working, Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting, a variety of crafts, and many hobbies including raising tropical fish and African Violets. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed volunteering at the Lincoln Center Holly Shoppe.
Elizabeth was a Life Member of the St. Peter’s Rosary Society. She believed in prayer and contributed regularly to her St. Jude and Franciscan Father Charities.
