Jerry was born August 13, 1948 in Marathon County, the son of John and Esther (Schwitchenberg) Ceresero. He graduated from Rosholt High School in 1968. Jerry was drafted to the United States Army in 1969 and served his country in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War, he was discharged in 1971 with honors. He returned to the area and married Karen Pflughoeft. They raised their daughter Angela and the couple later divorced. Jerry then married Marcia Spielman nee Pawlowski on September 5, 1985 in Stevens Point, the couple resided in the Rosholt area.
Jerry was employed at Bushman Motors where he worked as a mechanic for more than 30 years. Jerry and his wife Marcia enjoyed motorcycle riding and trips. Jerry was an avid hunter and enjoyed the sport which took him on adventures around the world. He has been to Zimbabwe, British Columbia, Alaska, Newfoundland, and Mexico. His favorite time of year was deer season and enjoyed the stories and antics him and his cousin Bob and nephew Rob shared. Jerry’s hobby was shown in his love of exotic waterfowl and animals that he raised.
He traveled to several states to attend many bird shows (swap meets) with his close friends. Jerry raised such animals as wildebeest, caribou and emu.
Jerry always enjoyed people’s reactions to the things he did or said, from his firework displays, random hugs and kisses to storytelling. Words cannot explain the impact he had on so many people’s lives nor explain the deep sadness we bear with his passing.
Jerry is survived by his wife Marcia, Rosholt. Three daughters: Angela (Luis) Rey and their daughters, Fiona and Penelope, Oregon, WI.
