Joseph A. Misiewiez, 90

Joseph A. Misiewiez Stevens Point, passed away Wednesday January 14, 2015 at Maple Ridge in Plover.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday January 17, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. Dennis Stanczyk will officiate. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from 9:30 AM until the time of services Saturday at the church. Shuda Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Joseph was born Febuary 14, 1924 in Bevent, Marathon Country; to the late Walter and Clara (Mukuch) Misiewiez. The family moved to Town of Hull when Joe was 6 months old. He attended St. Casimir Public School and St. Casimir Parish School both in Town of Hull. Joe married Regina Ausgustinak in 1972 at St. Joephs Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Joe belonged to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Joe had a variety of jobs including working at Garbers, Cranberry Marsh, and he was employed for the Soo line Railroad for over 40 years, he was very proud of the Soo Line. When he first started at the railroad, Joe built a bike from spare bike parts and rode it to work and back every day. Joe loved going up North vacationing, fishing, gardening, traveling, polka music and Lawrence Welk, and silver dollar pancakes.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Clara Misiewez, infant brother and his sisters Gen Jakaboski, Helen Danezyk, Ann Kawleski, and brother Stanley, Frank, John, and Steve Misiewiez. Brother-in-laws, Larry, John, Edmund, Niece Patricia.
Joe is survived by his wife Regina, his sister Catherine Wojtalewicz, Stevens Point, and Sister-in-law Cyrene Misiewiez , and nieces and nephews.
