Renetta Marie Tetzloff, 95

Renetta Marie Tetzloff, age 95, of Stevens Point, passed away on Sunday January 18, 2015, at her place of residence at Oakridge Senior Assisted Living.

She was born August 5, 1919, in Stevens Point to the late John and Helen Kirsling. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She taught elementary education in Portage County for several years. She received the parochial best teacher award.

She married Rufus Tetzloff on August 20, 1949, at St. Mary’s of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. She enjoyed reading and sewing.

Renetta is survived by her son, Derryl and wife Greta Tetzloff of Champlin, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rufus, brothers, Anthony, John, Edwin, and sisters, Heribertha, Genevieve and Helen.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Oakridge Senior Assisted Living, Heartland Hospice, Meals on Wheels and Home Instead for their loving care and support of Renetta.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday January 22, 2015, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Lindner officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
