Team Schierl & Guests of The Store raise $2,600 for Salvation Army

For the City Times
Throughout the month of December, associates, guests and team members of area Portage County The Store locations generously donated to help support the Salvation Army.
Guests of The Store were able to donate their loose change into counter top red kettles or purchase a $1, $5 or $10 paper kettle. On December 19th, many of the administrative and local team members rang the Salvation Army bells to continue in the fundraising effort. There was also a special group of associates (pictured) who prepared and served a Sunday dinner to those staying at the Hope Center in Stevens Point.
Between the countertop red kettles, paper kettles and bell ringing, almost $1,600.00 was collected. Team Schierl Companies graciously added $1,000.00 and in total raised $2,600 for the Salvation Army.
“The Salvation Army of Portage County would like to thank Team Schierl and The Store for their ongoing support, both financial and by volunteering. Companies like Team Schierl & The Store help support and assist those in need in our community,” said Bob Quam, director of operations for the Salvation Army.
