Frank “Frankie” Richter, age 71, passed away Thursday, January 22nd at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, WI.

Frank was born January 25, 1943 in Stevens Point to Edmund and Gertrude (Frydach) Richter.  He was a graduate of Rosholt High School in 1962.

On July 2nd 1966, he married the love of his life, Eva (Dalby) Richter.  Together they had two children, Todd Richter of Chicago and Tracy (Matthew) Ricker of Portage, MI.  Frank considered his children as the joys of his life. His bond with Eva and his children will continue to remain strong in their hearts and minds. He was an example of kindness and generosity every day.   While, our hearts have been broken by our loss, our memories of all of the laughs and good times will never be forgotten. Frank touched the hearts of everyone he met and worked with. His love for his family and many friends was limitless.

Frank loved fishing in Northern Wisconsin, traveling, and deer hunting. Frank was the consummate fix-it man. He loved tinkering with different things and working on home improvements during the winter months.  During the summer months, Frank and Eva enjoyed traveling to the Northwoods.  When they were not “Up North”, they loved to travel to Michigan and Chicago to visit their children and “granddogs”.  Frank was a member of the Stevens Point Elk Lodge #641 and the Moose Family Center #1572.

Frank worked at UW-Stevens Point for many years.  His job as Locksmith allowed him to make many connections and friendships at work.

Frank is  also survived by two sisters, Gerri (Jerry) Liszewski, Amherst and Rose (Robert) Polsin, Hortonville.  He was proceeded in death by his parents and sister, Irene Westrich.

Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday January 27, 2015, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Lindner officiating.  Visitation on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, 703 Second St, Stevens Point and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at church.  Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.
