Mailbox Fatality: A 26 year-old woman reported someone hit the mailbox at her County Trunk W home with their vehicle at 8:31 PM. Value of damage was not immediately known. 

February 1

Welfare Check: A 45 year-old woman called police when she became concerned for her 18 year-old son’s welfare. Police found the man in a John’s Drive apartment and he was later arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting at 2:36 AM.

Air Soft Gun Attack: A 20 year-old man was attacked by 3 males, ages 14, 17 and 18, with a air soft guns near Division St. and Maria Dr. at 1:34 AM. Police seized from the boys 6 air soft guns, a black and white mask, a black handgun holster, two knives and a container filled with 10,000 air soft pellets. The 17 year-old was cited with disorderly conduct.

Strangulation: A 29 year-old man was arrested for substantial battery, strangulation and domestic abuse after he allegedly strangled and punched a 25 year-old woman at a Bliss Ave. home at 8:14 PM.

Bar Fight: Police were called to Steve-O’s bar, 1321 Second St., at 10:29 PM after several men, ages 23, 24, 25 and 27, were involved in a physical altercation. No arrests were made at that time.

Those Are My Trees: A 54 year-old man called deputies to complain trees at his County Trunk X North property were being cut down by the state at 3:07 PM. Deputies informed the man it was a civil matter.

Drug Bust: A 22 year-old man was cited to possession of less than 5 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop near Locust Dr. and Post Rd. at 9:32 PM. The man was also warned for not carrying proof of insurance. The man’s 21 year-old male passenger also received a warning for possession of the same items.

Theft: A 23 year-old man reported someone stole his jacket, with his home and vehicle keys in the pocket, from Bruisers, 956 Main St., at 2:40 AM.

Operating While Revolked: Police cited a 45 year-old man for driving after revocation and for failure to install an intoxication monitor in his vehicle.

Loud Music: A 63 year-old man called police to report loud music coming from his 21 year-old neighbor’s home on the 1900 block of College Ave. at 8:42 PM.

January 30

Driving With False Plates: A 22 year-old man received a warning after police caught him speeding, driving without his seat belt on and using false plates during a traffic stop near Burr Oak Rd. and County Trunk J at 11:48 PM.

OWI/Red Light Violation: A 21 year-old man was cited for his first offense of operating while intoxicated and driving through a red light near Main and Division streets at 2:14 AM.

Bail Jumper: Police arrest a 17 year-old boy for bail jumping from SPASH, 1201 Northpoint Drive, at 7:56 AM.

Restraining Order Violation: A 30 year-old woman called police to report a 24 year-old man knowingly violated a domestic restraining order at 12:34 PM. The man was arrested from a home on Yvonne Drive.

Unconscious Boy: Police called for EMS assistance when they observed a 16 year-old boy lying on the side of the 2300 block of Church St. with a head injury at 10:58 PM. No further information is available.
