The Portage County Business Council has announced it is sponsoring a photo contest.

Open to local professional and amateur photographers alike, photo entries should capture the essence of Portage County.

Photo entries should be submitted in .jpeg, .png or .tiff format and be at least 300 px. Descriptions should accompany each photo with the theme, “Uniquely Portage County – What Does It Mean to You?”

Photographers can submit up to 3 photos per entry.

The “Uniquely Portage County” photo contest runs through March 16, 2015 with winners being announced on or before April 10, 2015.

Entries should be submitted via email to [email protected] and include “PCBC Photo Contest” in the subject line.

The Portage County Business Council reserves the right to use any of the photos and descriptions submitted in online or offline advertising campaigns.

Winning photos with descriptions and photographer name recognition will be published in the 2015 Portage County Community Guide scheduled for release this summer. Winners will also receive a $50 Portage County Gift Certificate.

Six thousand copies of the guide will be printed and distributed throughout the two-year life span of the publication. Copies will be included in relocation packets and peppered throughout Portage County in high traffic locations such as real estate offices, hotels, banks, medical facilities and during events.
