Presley Survives Primary Over Graff
City Times Staff
Jeff Presley has officially made it through the District 11 primary race with 32 votes.
Presley had been tied with contestant Lloyd Graff at 30 votes. Shaun Morrow was tops in last week’s District 11 primary race with 38 votes.
The city’s canvassing committee on Monday verified two absentee ballots in Presley’s favor. Presley, who also served on the Stevens Point School Board and the Portage Co. Board of Supervisors, will now face off against Shaun Morrow in April’s general election for the seat.
Jerry Moore currently holds the District 11 aldermanic seat but filled non-candidacy papers last year so he could run for mayor.
Presley was not present at the committee meeting and unavailable for comment.
