Norman R. Engebretson, 65

Norman R. Engebretson, 65, of Plover, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at home while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.
He was born on March 15, 1949, in Stevens Point, to the late Oscar and Isabelle (Zywicki) Engebretson and was a 1968 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School.
Norman served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1969 to 1973, with one tour in Vietnam.
He was employed as a rewinder operator at the Wisconsin River Division of New Page, retiring after 35 years with the company.
Norman had been a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, coin collecting, movies and especially spending time with his grandchildren. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and baseball player for American Legion Baseball.
Survivors include his son, Jeff (Tara) Engebretson of Stevens Point, grandchildren, Ava and Carson; siblings, Terrie Seybold of Milwaukee, Barbara Hottenstein of West Bend, Ray Mansavage of Stevens Point, Mary Spielvogel of Oostburg, Ed Engebretson of Stevens Point, Sandy Lepinski of Stevens Point, Linda Engebretson of Fremont, and Tina Engebretson of Adams-Friendship; and his former wife, Joan Engebretson of Stevens Point.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Engebretson; brothers, Ronald Engebretson, Andrew Engebretson and Ralph Mansavage; and brother-in-law, Earl Seybold.
