Unofficial results in District 3 give Garrett Ryan an early lead.

Ryan beat Mike O’Meara 97 votes to 76.

Ryan defeats incumbent O’Meara, who recently retired from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. O’Meara, a long-time public servant, served two terms on the council and takes with him extensive knowledge of  roadway engineering and state construction requirements.

Ryan is a graphic designer who has been heavily involved with the Old Main Neighborhood Association (OMNA) as well as another community project called Revisioning Point. Ryan has been vocal against city growth, saying it would only create more infrastructure for the city to maintain.
