Schmeeckle Reserve Map Gets Interactive Treatment
City Times Staff
Students at UWSP have created a new interactive map of Schmeeckle Reserve.
Created using GIS, the map’s layers can be manipulated to show natural and man-made features, including the depths of Lake Joanis, land cover types, wetlands, and soils.
Map users can also activate historical aerial photos from 1938 to present over the current boundaries of Schmeeckle Reserve. The map can be found here.
