A 21 year-old woman was charged with battery after deputies say she beat her boyfriend.
Deputies were called to a home on the 6200 block of Old Hwy 18 in the Town of Stockton at 3:32 AM on May 3, where they arrested Tamara Al Khateb after she allegedly gave her boyfriend, a 28 year-old man, a swollen eye and a bloody nose.
According to the victim’s statement, Al Khateb punched and stomped on him after first breaking some of his belongings.
Assistant District Attorney David Knaapen read from the criminal complaint, which read that Al Khateb admitted to the deputy she “punched him [the victim] a dozen times, and then kicked and stomped him while he was on the ground.”
She was booked into the Portage County Jail and appeared via video in court on Monday. Knaapen requested a $2,000 signature bond for Al Khateb, who has no prior criminal record.
She was ordered to have no contact with the victim as a condition of her bond. Her next scheduled court appearance is May 18.
