Oakridge Community to Experience Flight of Lifetime

For the City Times
Residents of Emeritus at Oakridge Community in Stevens Point will get the chance to experience what’s being called a “flight of a lifetime” through the Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation (AADF) on June 5.
AADF President Darryl Fisher restored the Foundation’s plane, a 1940s Boeing Stearman, with the goal of recognizing veterans living in long-term care communities through providing a memorable experience in flight. The flights are brief are give participants an aerial view of the community in which they live.
The “Dream Flights” are made possible with the help of sponsors like Sport Clips Haircuts. Thanks to the sponsorship, AADF will be able to launch approximately 520 flights across the U.S. this year, up from 84 flights in 2014.
The Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation is a non-profit organization established and dedicated to honoring seniors and United States military veterans. The group’s mission is to “Give Back To Those Who Have Given”.
