SPASH, Everest Tie for Top Honors in Leg 4

On a cold and windy afternoon at Greenwood Hills Golf Course in Wausau, the SPASH Panthers boys golf team tied with D.C. Everest for first place in Leg #4 of the Wisconsin Valley Conference golf meet.

Both SPASH and Everest finished with 340, while Wausau East checked in at 344.

Wisconsin Rapids took seventh place with a 406.

Once again, East’s Matt Tuman was the individual medalist, carding an 80.

Taylor Thomas was SPASH’s low scorer for the day shooting a 83.  Cristian McDonald (84) and Max Bancker (85) also shot well for the Panthers.

SPASH still has a healthy lead over Wausau East in the overall conference standings.  The Panthers have 27.5 points to second place East’s 20.

Leg #5 will take place on Friday in Merrill.
