June 5
Hit-and-Run: A 19-year-old Amherst Junction man was issued citations by police after failing to report a vehicle crash and failing to keep his vehicle under control on Old Hwy. 18 and Park St. at 6:49 AM.
Out Of Gas: Two males in a dark colored sedan were reported by a 77-year-old Bancroft woman after coming to her door and asking for gas money at 11:16 PM on the 8300 block of Division St.
“Star-Gazing”: Two 18-year-old suspects, male and female, were caught in Arnott Lions Park after-hours at 11:26 PM. Police report that suspects were star-gazing and were asked to leave.
June 6
OWI: A 21-year-old Custer man received multiple citations including operating while under the influence, failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to keep vehicle under control at 12:36 PM on Cty. Rd. K and Rolling Hills Rd.
Asleep At The Wheel: After crashing while asleep behind the wheel at 5:46 PM, a 24-year-old Nekoosa man was issued a citation for inattentive driving driving while under a suspended license on 80th St. S and Cty. Rd. FF in Wisconsin Rapids.
Wild Horses: Seven horses were reported standing in the roadway on Hwy. 66 and Mill Creek Rd. at 7:32 AM. The horses’ owner was notified.
Hay There: A 40-year-old Junction City man living on the 2500 block of Mallek Rd. reported that male suspect had mowed his hay field without permission. The matter will be taken up in civil court.
June 7
Shooting Threat: Police responded to the 500 block of Granite Ridge Rd. West in Stevens Point after a 54-year-old male threatened to shoot his daughter’s 21-year-old boyfriend.
Hit-and-Run: After hitting his neighbor’s car on the 1500 block of Torun Rd. in Stevens Point, a 29-year-old man was arrested at 5:29 PM for violating the absolute sobriety provision of his parole.
Sharing Is Caring: Police responded to a disturbance on the 1500 block of Torun Rd. where subjects reported at 10:21 PM that they were upset with another for not sharing their alcohol.
