Baby Called Back: A 911 call at 8:19 AM from the 400 block of McDill Ave. in Stevens Point turned out to be a baby playing with the phone and the mother reported everything was okay.
Car Versus Semi: At 8:35 AM, Police responded to a crash between a 19-year-old Amherst driver and a semi truck driver from Bancroft on Cty. Rd. BB and Hwy. 54 in Plover. No damages or injuries were reported.
Credit Card Fraud: A 73-year-old Stevens Point man called police after a 29-year-old known female used his credit card without permission to purchase goods worth $323.
Jail Scam: A 74-year-old Rosholt woman reported that a man claiming to be her grandson called her home, told her he was in jail and requested money. The woman didn’t fall for the scam and no money was lost.
Water Balloon Fight: Police were called at 5:21 PM when two cars full of teenagers were reported to have been throwing water balloon at each other when a third car was caught in the cross fire on Oak St. and Texas Ave. in Stevens Point. Police warned the teens for their behavior and contacted their parents.
