A 23-year-old Plover man appeared in Portage County Court facing charges that he downloaded child pornography.

Nicholas Goligoski was arrested on July 21, following a search of a residence in the 2300 block of Maplewood Dr. in Plover after officers from the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation found still images and videos that were downloaded the day before.

According to the DCI investigator, those images were of prepubescent females between the ages of 11 and 16 and included sexually explicit material and poses.

Goligoski admitted to downloading and using the laptop where it was stored on the hard drive.

Judge Richard Wright ordered Goligoski held on a $2,500 cash bond. As a condition of that bond, he is to have no contact with minor females or have access to any computer, tablet or cell phone that connects to the internet.

He is due back in court for an initial appearance on July 27.
