August 21

Sunny Side Sunup: At 5:00 AM, a 54-year-old Plover woman reported to police that her vehicle had been egged on the 1100 block of Phillips St. in Stevens Point. A 20-year-old male is suspected of the offense.

Facebook Harassment: An 18-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 12:07 PM to report a 22-year-old Amherst man was sending her harassing messages via Facebook.

Suspicious Shutterbug: A 76-year-old Bancroft was reported as suspicious when observed on Fountain Lake in Amherst at 2:04 PM. He was taking pictures of wildlife.

Debit Card Theft: A 34-year-old Stevens Point woman reported that a 30-year-old male stole from her by using debit card to spend $80.64 without her permission.

High-beam Hi-Jinks: Police were called by a 53-year-old Stevens Point man to report that a vehicle was tailgating other cars with their high-beams on at 11:14 PM on the 1300 block of Hwy. 66.

August 22

Car Versus Deer: A 46-year-old Stevens Point man called police at 8:08 AM to report he’d a hit a deer with his car on the 100 block of Maple Dr.

OWI: A 22-year-old Schofield man was arrested at 9:32 AM at the junction of I39 and Hwy. 10 in Stevens Point for his third offense of operating while under the influence.

Toddler In Trouble: A 30-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 1:01 PM to report that a toddler was in the road of the 3000 block of Post Rd. in Plover. Police returned the child to the parents.

Harassment: A 48-year-old Stevens Point woman and 42-year-old man called police to report that they’d been receiving harassing text messages from a 22-year-old Stevens Point female suspect.

Mailbox Fatality: A 45-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 9:36 PM to report that her mailbox had been damaged at her home on the 3200 block of Church St.

Speed Racer: Police issued a citation for speeding 30-34 mph over the posted speed limit to a 23-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man who was pulled over on Hwy. 13 and Thilo Ln. in Junction City at 11:15 PM.

August 23

OWI: A 77-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with operating under the influence after being pulled over for deviating from his lane on Rice and Blaine St. at 12:06 AM.

Warrant Arrest: A 25-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested on a warrant after police received a call about an unwanted male at Graffiti’s Sports Pub at 1:51 AM.

Slash: The tires of a 52-year-old Stevens Point man’s truck were reported to have been slashed at 8:30 AM by an unknown suspect.

Paintball Primer: A 61-year-old Stevens Point man called police to report that yellow paint balls had been fired in the area surrounding Torun Rd. and Pioneer Rd. at 3:25 PM.
