Paul Ruediger, age 59, of ST. John WA, formerly of Stevens Point Wis. died on August 14, 2015 after a lengthy illness.

He was born August 21, 1955 to Albert F. and Mary (Patsy Torzewski) Ruediger. A 1973 graduate of Pacelli High School, Paul worked as a cheese maker alongside his father and four brothers. After high school the family moved to Washington State, where for many years he worked for Travis Pattern Foundry.

He married Sandy Honn, in St John on March 17, 1979. They are now divorced but remained good friends. Paul enjoyed spending time with friends, his church and community, and talking to his grandchildren on the phone as often as possible. Survivors include one son, Elijah Ruediger (Mary) of S.C. One daughter Naomi Mackay (Brian) and four grandchildren, Dalilah, Jackson, Sherl.y, and Carol.

He is further survived by four brothers; Andrew Ruediger (Ann)  of Amherst WI, Nicholus Ruediger (Grace) of Spokane WA, Albert Ruediger  jr ( Mary) of Red Granite WI, Kevin Ruediger of Wild Rose WI, and three sisters Kristine Groshek ( Gordon) of Ely MN, Zita Ruediger of Rudolph WI, and Francesca Tishim  of Stevens Point WI.

The Burning funeral home of Colfax WA, is helping family with arrangements. A memorial service will be held Sept. 5th. 10:30 a.m. at the Methodist church in St. John WA. A family service will be held at a later date in WI.

Instead of flowers the family asks that you donate in Paul’s name to the St John Library or the St. John EMT ambulance services.  ( stjohnambulance.com.au )

He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
