POTD: Shaking Hands Throughout the District

Interim Superintendent Lee Bush visited schools throughout the district on the first day of school Tuesday.
Bush said he visited “every single” school and met with teachers, students and office staff.
“It’s really been a smooth day,” Bush said when asked about the efficiency of bus transportation on this day compared to last school year, when hundreds of students were affected by busing issues. “I visited the transportation department just the other day, I talked to the bus drivers and everything was good to go.”
Bush also held a school kickoff last week which included presentations and songs performed by and for teachers and school board. Bush called the event a “unifying experience” for the entire district.
