Wisconsin Troopers Association Endorses David Knaapen for Circuit Court Judge
Sergeant Thomas Erdmann, a member of the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association executive board and resident of Portage County said in a statement Knaapen brings “the experience to preserve law and order while protecting the rights of victims and the accused”.
Knaapen is a Portage Co. Assistant District Attorney who announced his candidacy in July for the judicial seat left vacant by the retirement of Judge John Finn.
Knaapen has over thirty years of legal experience as both a prosecuting attorney and as a public defender. He currently serves as president for Justiceworks, LTD, a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster forms of justice that strengthen and heal the communities throughout the county.
This non-partisan election will feature a primary in February and will be held in April of 2016.
