September 4

4th OWI: After being stopped by police for driving with no headlights at 2:13 AM, a 35-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with his fourth offense of operating while under the influence. He was also charged for operating without headlights.

Bus Nonstop: An 18-year-old Stevens Point man was pulled over and warned for passing a school bus while it was unloading children at 9:23 AM on the 1200 block of Cty. Rd. J N.

Sideswipe: A 44-year-old Irma man reported his vehicle had been sideswiped by a 65-year-old driver at 12:57 PM on the 1400 block of Commerce Place in Plover.

Bike Theft: A 23-year-old Stevens Point man reported to police at 3:00 PM that his silver Raleigh mountain bike had been stolen from the 700 block of Union St.

OWI And More: A 44-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with operating while under the influence, hit and run, failure to keep vehicle under control and driving without insurance after police received a call from a witness who reported the man had crashed alongside the road near mile marker 163 on I39.

Drinking In The Street: A 22-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with having an open intoxicant on a public way when police stopped him at 10:31 PM on the 700 block of Division St.

Those Who Host: A 20-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with hosting a gathering with underage alcohol consumption after police were called to a loud party on the 900 block of Main St. at 11:25 PM.

September 5

Public Bathroom Use: A 21-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with urinating on public or private property on the 1300 block of Second St. at 12:56 PM.

Pulverized Planters: A 29-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with damaging two large planters in front of the Father Fats restaurant on Clark St. at 2:46 AM.

OWI: After being pulled over by police at 2:21 AM, a 21-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with operating while under the influence and disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle on Division St. N and Scholfield Ave.

Mailbox Fatality: A mailbox was reported damaged on the 1700 block of Deer Ln. in Stevens Point at 8:47 AM by its 73-year-old owner.

Mailbox Fatality Part Deux: A 56-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 9:45 AM to report that her mailbox had been damaged on 5200 block of Airport Rd.

Train Fire: A train car was reported to be on fire on Hwy. 10 and Cty. Rd. K in Amherst Junction according to a 49-year-old Rosholt man who reported it to police at 6:20 PM.

September 6

Underage: An 18-year-old Stevens Point woman was charged with underage drinking, littering and having an open intoxicant on a public way after police stopped her on the 1700 block of Briggs St. at 12:27 AM.

Who Let The Cows Out: Cows were reported loose on the 8500 block of Old Hwy. 18 in Amherst Junction at 8:52 AM by a 57-year-old male.

Saw Theft: Two power saws were reported stolen from an unlocked garage on the 1900 block of Water St. in Stevens Point at 11:09 AM.

Tire Punctured: A 66-year-old Rosholt man called police at 3:57 PM to report that his vehicles tires had been punctured by an unknown suspect on the 100 block of Lincoln Ave.

Car VS. Tree: A 19-year-old Custer man crashed his vehicle into a tree at 8:07 PM while driving on the 600 block of Oak Rd. N in Stevens Point.

Stolen Handgun: A 33-year-old Stevens Point man reported his loaded Glock G42 .380 handgun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 900 block of Wisconsin St. at 11:00 PM.

September 7

Fired Up: Two juvenile males were reported to be starting a small fire inside a shed on the 1600 block of Howard Ave. in Stevens Point at 9:50 AM.

Lawn Damage: An 84-year-old Stevens Point woman called police at 11:16 AM to report that an unknown suspect had driven over and damaged her lawn on the 600 block of Mary Ann Ave.

Burnout Got Burnt: A 20-year-old man was reported to police by his neighbor, a 48-year-old male Custer man, for doing burnouts with his vehicle. Police warned the man for doing burnouts and told him to apologize to his neighbor.
