September 11

Domestic Abuse: A 32-year-old man was arrested on charges of strangulation and suffocation, disorderly conduct, felony bail jumping and domestic abuse after police reported to a home on the 2300 block of Prairie St. at 12:41 AM.

Phone Threats: A 24-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman called police at 6:16 AM to report that she’d received threatening messages on her phone.

Crash: After causing a two vehicle crash on the 3300 block of Minnesota Ave., an 18-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with failing to yield while making a left turn at 9:04 AM.

Crash Redux: A 21-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with unsafe lane deviation and operating with a suspended license after crashing on Briggs and Reserve St. at 11:17 AM.

When You Gotta Go: Police issued a warning for public urination to a 23-year-old Amherst man who they stopped on Cty. Rd. K and Cty. Rd. A at 6:10 PM.

Minnows Gone Missin’: Police were called at 11:30 PM by a 49-year-old Stevens Point man who reported that some fishing jigs and fat head minnows had gone missing.

September 12

Domestic Abuse: A 27-year-old Stevens Point woman was charged with domestic abuse and disorderly conduct after police responded to a disturbance on the 300 block of Division St. N. at 2:18 AM.

Wallet Theft:  A 19-year-old Custer man called police to report his wallet containing $200 was stolen on the 100 block of Division St. in Stevens Point. Suspect is a 34-year-old Stevens Point woman.

Warrant Arrest: After being pulled over for operating with a suspended registration on Division and Briggs St. in Stevens Point, a Racine man was arrested for having an outstanding warrant in Racine County.

OWI: A 24-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for his second offense of operating while under the influence and operating with a revoked license after police pulled him over on Cty. Rd. ZZ South and Grayson Rd. in Amherst Junction at 10:00 PM.

September 13

Hit-And-Run: A 20-year-old Appleton man called police at 11:57 AM after being involved in a hit-and-run accident on Blue Heron Ln. and West River Dr. in Stevens Point.

Parking Problems: Police responded to the Tobacco Outlet on Church St. in Stevens Point after receiving calls about a disturbance regarding a handicap parking space at 1:30 PM.

Slash: A 29-year-old Chicago man was charged for disorderly conduct with damage after police were called because he slashed the tire of a 20-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man’s car on the 3400 block of Church St. in Stevens Point.
