Henry R. Lee, age 89 of Stevens Point died September 17, 2015 at Maple Ridge in Plover.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday September 23, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Greg Michaud will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 AM Wednesday until the time of services. A general rosary will be prayed at 10 AM.

Henry was born on August 6, 1926 in Milwaukee, the son of the late Henry and Harriet (Pietrzak) Lee. He graduated from Boys Tech High School. He entered the U.S. Navy on December 22, 1944. He served in the Pacific Theater and was honorably discharged on June 28, 1946. Henry returned to Milwaukee and went to work for Milwaukee County as an ambulance driver. In 1963 he became a deputy for the Milwaukee County Sheriffs Department. He was a deputy until his retirement in 1987. In 1988 he moved to the Stevens Point area and was very active in church affairs at Sacred Heart Church.

Henry married Marilea Sorenson on October 25, 1952 at St Jerome Church in Oconomowoc.

He is survived by two sons; Stephen (Cheryl) of Troy, New York and Michael of Mukwonago and one daughter Bonnie (Dean) Schlote of Milwaukee. Five grandchildren Jason, Gina, David (Angie) Jonathon and Kaitlin Three great grandchildren Alexis Alayna and Brianna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marilea on June 27, 2013, two sisters and one brother.
