Letter: Common Core, Political Correctness Weakens Children, Society

To the Editor-

Political correctness is weakening our children, society and America.

A small minority- calling themselves liberals- are not so liberal when you find them. They have tunnel vision on their opinion over others’. Go on Twitter and disagree with one and you’ll know what I mean.

They give a medal, ribbon or trophy to a child just for showing up, and that’s wrong. This “everyone’s a winner” is wrong. You are in winner in the sense that you tried, but found out maybe you need more practice next time. In life, not all win at what they try.

Some so-called liberals have infiltrated into our schools and are trying to make claim that a child who fails at an attempt is ruined for life. Hogwash. When guided by good parents, teachers, family, friends…a child will gt over third place instead of first.

This politically correct garbage take inventive out of our children. Without failured, you do not know when you have it good. And not all mankind are meant to be Rockefeller’s. If guided right, you learn to appreciate what you have earned- not gotten for free.

When my dad was laid off, he went to look for another job and took what there was so we could eat. Now, some eat off of your tax dollars Obama throws at them, that did not earn it!

Now our children believe it needs to be handed to them just for showing up. Not! Common Core is socialism. I have heard many children complain it’s harder, and the old way got you the solution just fine.

Come on, parents; attend a PTA meeting and stand up against liberal abuse.
