Stevens Point Police Officer Trina James helps a citizen down the steps at the city’s courthouse on Monday.
The woman, who declined to give her name, had walked to the courthouse from her nearby home to conduct business.
James, a 16-year veteran of the police force who is also was previously assigned as a police liaison at SPASH, offered to drive her home.
