Junction City Man Charged with Lewd and Lascivious Behavior

A Junction City man pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of lewd and lascivious behavior.
Shane Meyer, 23, was arrested in July after two women reported separate incidents of a man in yellow station wagon who exposed himself to them and appeared to be masturbating.
Both women told police they were approached while walking alone. One of the women said Meyer made three u-turns on Franklin St. while he followed her.
Both women said Meyer slowed his vehicle before exposing himself and masturbating. He was later described to police as wearing a reflective shirt or safety vest.
Police found Meyer in his vehicle thanks to a partial license plate number recorded by one of the victims.
Meyer initially denied slowing down by the women and exposing himself. A records check revealed Meyer was on probation for burglary and that his license was expired.
He was handcuffed and searched prior to arrest. Police found a small, cylindrical pipe which Meyer admitted was a one-hit marijuana pipe.
He was arrested and taken to the Portage County Jail. He is free on a $2,000 signature bond and ordered to have no contact with the victims. His next court date is scheduled for October 5.
