A 19-year-old Stevens Point man is charged with two felony counts of child pornography as a result of sexting conversations with a 13-year-old girl.

Joshua Rabideaux appeared in Portage County Court on Monday. In addition to the child porn charges, he is also charged with one count of causing a child over 13 to view sexual activity, two counts of exposing his genitals to a child and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the criminal complaint, the girl’s parents contacted police when they discovered explicit photos on her iPod in January. Detectives located sexually explicit text conversations between Rabideaux and the victim, as well as digital images of a man’s gentials and video of a man masturbating.

During a search of his Johns Drive home, Rabideaux admitted to police he knew the victim to be “13 or 14” years old. He also admitted to the sexually explicit text conversations and to sending the girl photos of his genitals. A search of the house revealed bedding and furniture that matched the background in the digital images.

Rabideaux is free on a $50,000 signature bond. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and no unsupervised contact with minor children. His next scheduled court date is October 19.
