REPORT: Stevens Point Tap Water Declared Second Best in Nation

Tap water from the City of Stevens Point is the second best in the country, according to an organic living website.
Rodale’s Organic Life, a clean living website, has ranked the city number two out of the ten best, behind New York City. The list eventually made its way to The Huffington Post.
According to rodalesorganiclife.com, a great glass of water comes from “a pristine source, plus careful testing and high-tech filtration and treatment.”
City water is pulled from enormous aquifers and treated with chlorine, fluoride and phosphate in a state-of-the-art treatment plant on Bliss Avenue. The plant has made several strides in environmentally-friendly procedures with more in store.
The city’s water department has received numerous awards for water cleanliness and taste.
