The SPASH Lady Panthers on Thursday beat the long-winning Wausau East Lumberjacks during a dual meet, 100-70.
The Lady Lumberjacks started off strong as swimmers were victorious in the 200-yard medley relay, but SPASH quickly answered with win after win.
Kathryn Stupar picked up her first individual win in the 200 yard freestyle event, and another first win for her in the 500-yard freestyle.
Julia Stupar won the 2oo-yard individual medley and later, the 100-yard butterfly.
Alex Raczek also won two events- the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle. Anna Vandehey took tops in the 100 yard backstroke.
The win was a watershed for the Panthers, as it was the first loss for the Lumberjacks since 2002.
Both JV and varsity swim teams compete next at John Muir High School in Wausau on October 1. The meet begins at 5 PM.
