September 25
Busted: At 1:06 PM, police arrested a 28-year-old Wausau man on charges of possession with intent to sell heroin and methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. A 23-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman was also arrested for resisting or obstructing an officer and possession of amphetamine. Police seized a scale, 0.3 grams of heroin and 16.80 grams of methamphetamine.
No License To Drive: After being pulled over and warned for lane deviation, a 27-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with his second offense of driving without a valid license.
Anti-Custard: At 10:14 AM a 36-year-old Stevens Point man known to be anti-law enforcement called police to discuss a false rumor that Culver’s restaurants were giving free lunch to police offers on Friday.
Crash: After causing a crash with two other vehicles on College Ave. and Illinois Ave. at 4:40 PM, an 18-year-old Slinger man was charged with failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
September 26
Bail Jumping: A 29-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for bail jumping at 5:06 AM after he was reported to have been consuming alcohol, a violation of the terms of his bond.
OWI: A 50-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for his fourth charge of operating while under the influence and drinking open intoxicants while driving on the 5500 block of Hwy. 10 East at 2:17 PM.
Domestic Abuse: A 26-year-old Stevens Point man was arrested for strangulation and suffocation after police responded to a disturbance on the 2300 block of Prairie St. at 7:31 PM.
September 27
Noise Boys: A 20-year-old Stevens Point man was charged with permitting excessive noise at his home on the 1500 block of Elk St. at 1:49 AM.
Vehicular Vandalism: Police were dispatched to the Copp’s grocery store in Stevens Point after a 30-year-old woman reported her vehicle had been vandalized in the parking lot.
Text Threats: A 22-year-old Stevens Point woman called police after receiving threatening text messages at 3:02 PM.
Apple Attack: A 57-year-old Stevens Point man called police at 8:35 PM to report that a male suspect had thrown apples at his grandchildren on 2800 block of Cty. Rd. PP.
