P.J.’s Freshmen Victorious Over Amherst

The P.J. Jacobs JV freshmen finished a well-fought game over Amherst on top, with a final score of 38-34.
Several 9th graders made it into the end zone, some with multiple touchdowns a piece.
Luke Bembenek had 16 carries for 134 yards, while QB Owen Ahrens went 8-16 passing for 165 yards. Tight end Gage Haack had 62 receiving yards. All three scored two touchdowns a piece.
Wide receiver Travis Johnson took four passes totaling 33 yards, also scoring once.
The Patriots play again Oct. 8 against Medford, with kickoff at 4 PM. The team’s final battle on the gridiron takes place on Oct. 15 against Ben Franklin Junior High at 6 PM.
