SPFD to Hold Contest for Breast Cancer T-Shirts

Stevens Point firefighters are holding a “pink shirt” contest to promote breast cancer awareness.
The contest is being sponsored by the firefighters’ union, IAFF Local 484.
“We are looking for community involvement with the fundraiser and looking for local artists to submit their designs,” the union said in a news release.
Proceeds of the t-shirt sales will benefit local cancer patients and cancer research in the area.
The deadline to submit art is October 17. Submission will be voted on by the public on the firefighters’ Facebook page.
The winning design will be printed for the 2016 Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.
Official rules for the contest will be posted to the Facebook pages of Stevens Point Firefighters-IAFF Local 484 and the City of Stevens Point.
