Surrounded by her loving family, Faye, age 86, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on October 2, 2015.

She was born in Racine on August 30, 1929 the daughter of the late Dyle and Ethel Manley. Faye was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1947”. She was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Rattle on September 11, 1948 at Central Church of the Nazarene.

Faye had many part time jobs throughout her early years, but her most treasured and fulfilling job was being a wife to Chuck and a mother to their four children.

You could never miss that “feisty” voice at a sporting event for her children and grandchildren and continued with her great grandchildren. She was their biggest fan and always was there supporting and cheering in whatever endeavor they pursued.

Faye loved gardening, her flowers, doing crafts and in her early years she was a masterful sewer. She was an amazing cook and serving daily “hot meals” was her top priority. Faye and Chuck, who just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary, enjoyed card club, riding bikes and travel. But their most cherished times together were spent with their family.

Faye is survived by her husband Chuck, children Dave (Pat) Rattle, Kevin (Linda) Rattle, Linda (Andy) Vacca and John (Nina) Rattle. She is further survived by her grandchildren Michael (Marie), Jeremy (Cathy), Jared and Chrissy Rattle, Sarah (Cheyenne) Skenandore, Kevin (Amy) and Liz Rattle, Marie, Emily and Joey Rattle.

Faye is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, brother David (Maggie) Manley, sister-in-law Marti Manley and in addition to nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob, sister Orma and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Elias Nasari officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park following services.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Faye in a special way may direct memorials to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.

The Rattle family would like to extend a very heart felt thank you to the staff at Ridgewood Care Center for their loving and devoted care.

Online condolences may be expressed at sturinofuneralhome.com.
