Richard F. Stroik
Richard (Dick), went to meet his creator and his parents and brothers and sisters peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
He was the son of Alex and Teckla (Lewandowski) Stroik. Richard was born on February 12, 1938. He attended St. Elementary School, Emerson School and graduated from P.J. High School in 1957.
He was employed at Vetter’s Manufacturing from 1957 for approximately 40 years, retiring due to disability.
He is survived by three brothers; Raymond Stroik, Fr. Placid Stroik, OFM, and his twin Robert Stroik (Marlene); his sister Theresa Hintz and sister-in-law Jan Stroik. Also survived by many nieces and nephews with whom he had a very special relationship.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #1170 and St. Peter’s Holy Name Society. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, visiting casinos, and touring the city of Stevens Point on his bicycle. In addition, he spent many hours with his nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death his parents, brother Victor Stroik and sisters Betty Glisczynski (Emil) and Barbara Bortz (Hank).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday October 6, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church with his brother the Rev. Placid Stroik officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
