Crews with Wisconsin Central Ltd. will begin smoothing out a bumpy railroad crossing on Monday.

The Water St./County Road HH train crossing will be closed to traffic beginning at 8 AM on Monday, Oct, 12 so workers can install a new crossing surface.

According to a news release from the city’s streets department, motorists will be rerouted to the parallel Church Street for the duration of the construction.

The road is expected to reopen by 5 PM on Friday, Oct. 16, weather permitting.
