The Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office reports open warrants for a man charged with felony causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, operating while intoxicated and operating without a valid license.

Fernando Nunez, 37, is described as a Hispanic male with brown eyes and black hair, 5′ 6″ and approximately 120 pounds. He has no known scars or tattoos.

His last known address was on Sandy Road in Birnamwood.

Nunez allegedly injured a child under the age of 16 while he drove intoxicated in October of 2006.

Nunez was scheduled for a plea hearing in January of 2008 but a bench warrant was issued when he did not appear.

The sheriff’s office is asking residents to contact law enforcement if they know his whereabouts or have any information on Nunez. Informants can remain anonymous.
