Stevens Point resident Ted Bauer sits atop a mammoth pumpkin he grew in a small strip of garden space in front of his Wisconsin Avenue home.
Bauer estimates the largest pumpkin in his patch weighs close to 300 pounds.
Only two gourds remain, he said, as vandals have stolen or damaged others he grew this year. He plans to harvest those last two for display during Halloween.
