Life Skills Center to Hold Ribbon Cutting Thursday

School district leaders will gather on Thursday for the official opening of the new Life Skills Center.
The center, which caters to developmentally-delayed students undergoing independent living skills classes, has been operating since the beginning of the school year. The ribbon cutting, which takes place at 5 PM on Oct. 15, is a time for the pubic to tour the facility and meet with families and teachers.
The Life Skills Center came to fruition only after two years of school board debate, which largely centered around details of the design-build contract- and broke ground last October.
The center is located on the west side of SPASH, 1201 Northpoint Drive.
